With X-Files: I Want to Believe set to premiere in less than a week, the media coverage is really beginning to ramp up. I will keep posting links to the articles that are worth checking out. The New York Daily News has posted one of the better articles about the X-Files and its upcoming return to the big screen. It has several quotes from both Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny.

Entertainment Weekly has published a short article and five page preview of the upcoming X-files comic written by Frank Spotnitz. Spotnitz is also the co-writer of the upcoming X-Files I Want to Believe film. The X-Files comic is a mini-series from Wildstorm and issue 0 is released July 23rd, two days before the film opens. TVGuide.com just posted an interview with X-Files creator and director of the upcoming X-Files sequel “I Want to Believe. Like all interviews with Chris, very little new information is given but it’s still an interesting read. There is some talk about Mulder and Scully’s relationship, possible appearances from characters of the show, and the future of the X-Files franchise.

The X-files I Want to Believe Soundtrack comes to CD and mp3 on July 22nd. Amazon is taking pre-orders and you can even preview all the tracks. Warning, Frank Spotnitz warns that even reading the track titles could be a spoiler. So if you are trying to stay spoiler free, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Inkworks has updated their website with more info about the new X-Files trading cards. The set will include 72 cards and will be released on the same day as the new film. There will also be autographed cards and other collectibles included in random packages. Visit their site below for all the details. I’m not typically a card collector but I will be picking these up.
